but in your opinion, whats the must-have keyword-selecting software (or site)?

Several tutorials mention Market Samurai which I have played around with, while more of a site finding & niche research aid, their keyword research tool provides some functions beyond google’s keyword tool.
For the copy what already works approach, spyfoo is quite powerful in showing the keywords established sites use. The free mode gives you a good taste of it.
Check out Yield Software – It automates much of the SEO process including on-page optimization recommendations, keyword rank monitoring, keyword recommendations, traffic source reports, inbound link tracking (with anchor text). They have a free report you can generate to get a feel for it.
I never advise any one to use the software and i dont use it. It is always a best procedure to do it manually.
I use all of the following:
IBusinessPromoter
Google’s Adwords Keyword Tool
WordTracker.com
If I had to pick just one “tool” it would be iBusinessPromoter
我来测试一下!可以删的。
